aNotepad can be utilized in either Standalone or Connected mode:

Standalone mode

No login is necessary, ensuring notes are solely stored on the user's device.
If desired, local notes can be uploaded to an anotepad.com account by logging in at a later time.

Connected mode

By logging in with a free anotepad.com account, notes are synced with the anotepad.com cloud server.
Access notes across multiple devices and via the anotepad.com website using a web browser.

Note Sharing

Notes can be shared as plain Text or as online Web pages.
In standalone mode, sharing is limited to Text. Logged-in users can generate instant note web pages and share URLs.

Note Permission

When sharing a note as an online web page, users have note permission settings:
